Stopped by Teacake Bakeshop on the way home from my cousins daughters baptism party. The shop is adorable and fits in perfectly amongst the shops on Burlingame Ave. Kinda pricey considering how small their cupcakes are. $3.00/cupcakes, $2.00 per cookie.Tried the Madagascar Bourbon vanilla cake with chocolate buttercream frosting & the special of the day, chocolate with strawberry frosting. Cam had a snickerdoodle and a chocolate chip cookie. I have to admit, the cookies are way better than the cupcakes. The Teacake in Emeryville use to sell bigger sizes so I was pretty disappointed when I saw what the Burlingame store had. The cupcakes I had were dry and a little too sweet for my taste. And, I have the biggest sweet tooth so that's saying a lot. In the end, I don't think I'd buy another cupcake anytime soon. Cookie, yes... I'll see you again soon!
