Teacake Bakeshop, Burlingame
Stopped by Teacake Bakeshop on the way home from my cousins daughters baptism party. The shop is adorable and fits in perfectly amongst the shops on Burlingame Ave. Kinda pricey considering how small their cupcakes are. $3.00/cupcakes, $2.00 per cookie.Tried the Madagascar Bourbon vanilla cake with chocolate buttercream frosting & the special of the day, chocolate with strawberry frosting. Cam had a snickerdoodle and a chocolate chip cookie. I have to admit, the cookies are way better than the cupcakes. The Teacake in Emeryville use to sell bigger sizes so I was pretty disappointed when I saw what the Burlingame store had. The cupcakes I had were dry and a little too sweet for my taste. And, I have the biggest sweet tooth so that's saying a lot. In the end, I don't think I'd buy another cupcake anytime soon. Cookie, yes... I'll see you again soon!

Under Construction
I changed up my blog name today so my page is under a little re-vamp. I didn't really have anything to post so I thought, let me post pictures of food! I made these mini teriyaki sliders & sweet potato fries. The burgers tasted nothing like teriyaki so I was little disappointed. I've been getting really good at making burgers though! Best part, we put the sliders on Hawaiian Rolls. Yum!
Yogurtouille
Yogurtouille had a new flavor called Hawaii Delight, which Cam said tasted like a Big Stick. I wish they stuck to more regular flavors like strawberry because they're special flavors are kinda gross. Cam went the chocolate route and I went fruity. In the end, we were too stuffed from dinner and we didn't even finish our fro-yo.
Lucy Activewear, Sweet Surrender, Beard Papas
I recently bought this runners tank top from this store called Lucy. I am completely in love with it. It has a built in sports bra, this cool zippered pocket on the back of the tank so I was able to hold my drivers licence, credit card and keys! I originally planned to run these steps at the beach down the street from my house. I forgot that that entire place is under construction because the cliff is breaking apart and all the apartments were vacated on that hill. I was pretty upset because I loved those stairs! It was the perfect place to run up and down because you had a breath taking view coming down because it over looked the beach, and an equally amazing view coming up because you saw all the rock formations, plants and the occasional squirrel. So, I drove the opposite direction and ending up running the Promenade on Beach Blvd. Here's an actual map of the location. I ran from the Municipal Fishing Pier to the Danger Cliffs. I wish I knew how far it was because the run/walk/crawl back was painful!
After my run, I grabbed coffee from Bean Street Coffee & Beard Papa's with Chiara & Izelle. Perfect weather, location, snacks and friends to spend the day with. We caught up on what happened over the weekend, cleared up some wrong information and just enjoyed the rare sunshine!
Cam came home around 7, I picked him up and immediately went to the PJCC for his basketball game. Which they won so congrats to them! Grabbed food from Tai Wu on the way home, had a nice dinner which included Sweet Surrender cupcakes from The Palazzo. Sweet Surrender is famous for their $750 cupcake. YES, a $750 cupcake. Chatted for a bit and then passed out. It's good to have everything back to normal.
Stuff your Face
I had half a chicken burrito, chocolate chip cookies and Munchos chips. After an entire week of eating barely anything, I had real food. So, I'm happy. I also made Cam watch Sabrina the Teenage Witch, The Movie. That was pretty funny. We also went shopping for Cam's last minute Las Vegas needs. I ended up buying a cute dress and a tank top.

First stop Mickey Ice Cream!
First snack stop, Mickey Mouse shaped ice cream. (Ice Cream Sandwich for Cam & Ice Cream Bar for me!) Too bad they were both hard as a rock and mines ended up breaking. Cam was waiting for me to spill something on my white shirt.. BUT, it never happened. They seriously make a lot of snacks shaped like Mickey's head. Rice Crispy treats, Lollipops, Marshmallow Lollipops, my favorite the Candy apple, Cookies - I wanted one but Cam told me it's just a sugar cookie with a chocolate Mickey face, and the list goes on!

First food stop of the day... Liliha Bakery in Honolulu. Seriously the BEST CREAM PUFF's EVER! Great service, adorable employee's. A must stop for any dessert addict. UGH. I want one right now.
Mojitos Night
Every time I ask Cam what he wants for dinner, he says "noodles". He still hasn't gotten his noodles. BUT, he's not complaining about what he is getting. I still had all that mint from the cupcakes I made last week so I said, how about Mojito's and we'll base our meal around that? So I made a Cuban (Las Vegas - Hollywood, FL) inspired meal. It's not exactly the same but it was good enough to shut Cam up til he was done eating. I miss places like Las Vegas and Versailles. All I needed was a can of Yerba Mate and I probably would of thought I was back there. Til, I opened my eyes and remembered it's cold as hell and I'm still in Foster City. =(
