So executive producer Steve Spielberg is behind the new supernatural drama "The River" airing in September. I went to the casting yesterday and the line was pretty long by the time we got there even though it didn't start until 10am. The casting was for slim to muscular build ethnic (Pacific islanders, Portuguese, Polynesian etc) people of all ages to portray characters from the Amazon. I was laughing at how many (older) Caucasian people there were which made me wonder if these people even knew where the Amazon is on the map? They also were asking if people were comfortable wearing the possible wardrobe which consisted of a (basically a two piece ensemble) bandeau top and a cloth skirt. I took my photos and we went to Hooters for chicken wings after. The food was horrible like always and it made us both wonder why we even go there?
