Talk about HUGE WASTE OF TIME! VinoModa has definitely figured out how to get the masses to come to their events with promises of UNLIMITED Tastings. UNLIMITED! And then you get there and it's unlimited until 7pm-ish when their event is suppose to end at 9pm. I feel so bad for anyone that paid the money to go to this event. Families/people came for the unlimited cupcake and wine tastings, energy cocktail shots but they failed to mention it was unlimited $3.00 cupcake tastings and $3.00 Smart Energy cocktails. $3.00 for a cupcake on TOP of the $55.00 cover? And this so called Smart Energy Cocktail ? Disgusting! Who the hell are they kidding? It was so gross I didn't even finish it. I didn't see too many people at this event actually drinking this stuff. And the people at this event? Drunk and totally UNDERAGE. I could count the amount of kids running around here completely trashed, cutting in line and just being plain sloppy. But what can you expect. When we first walked in, they checked my I.D to make sure our names matched the ticket and that's about it. And then you go to a separate line to get your glasses (that were wiped down with a dirty cloth).. Yes, gross. So after all this, what did I learn? I learned that I could come to any VinoModa event (and there's no way in f'INg Hell that I'd go to another one) and not pay. Just go to the event, grab a glass and get into the non-existent "tasting" lines and help yourself to glass after glass of wine. And!! Don't forget to bring ear plugs because the music so deafening you'll get more irritated and want to leave. I think it was they're "get these people out of here" tactics. In the end we had a few tastings, bought wine from Cupcake Vineyards (which we've tried previously so we knew it was pretty good and they actually ran out so we had to get our bottles shipped..- they ran out at 6:30ish) we each had ONE free cupcake each from this one random cupcake place and SERIOUSLY. The girl had to warn us that they weren't the best cupcakes and told us which ones to grab. I mean, wtf??? Can you imagine telling someone, these cupcakes are kinda funky but eat these two because they're the most normal of the group. Luckily for them, the frosting was pretty decent. I threw most of the cupcake away because it had this weird after taste. It was some pink champagne cupcake with cream cheese frosting and Cam had a moscato flavored cupcake with a cream cheese frosting as well. Not the greatest and obviously not impressive enough for me to wanna go find out who they were. That's pretty bad if you ask me. And I'm a dessert hunter. If I'm curious enough, I'd take all the effort to go get a cupcake. But in the end, all I really wanted was a Kingdom Cake cupcake but they were all sold out. Sucks for me.
