Virigin America + Cocktails + Desserts = American Cupcake

American Cupcake can officially be crossed off my list. I've been wanting to try this spot ever since I read about it on Urban Daddy. A cross between an asylum, bakery, carnival & bar all in one. The plastic seating was odd touch until I spilled my cupcake on it and then I realized OH, easier to wipe clean! The red velvet fried chicken (which their famous for) sounded so enticing, combining both of my favorite foods in one? Why wasn't I the first person in line for this? jk. They also have cupcake & flight pairings which I thought was pretty funny. I didn't get it but I did get a hot fudge sundae cupcake and Cam got the red velvet, to share of course. We also go two drinks, the drunken ballerina (sparkling wine, sprinkles with a toy ballerina *yes, a toy ballerina) and the Strawberry Slushie (margarita + strawberry puree). Both drinks were disgusting and I have no idea how or why this place is still in business. The service was lacking considering they had so many workers and 4 actual customers. We finally got our bill and that was probably the first time I actually left both a drink and cupcake unfinished. I'm glad I went there, I'm not glad I spent the $26 on two drinks and two cupcakes. Ridiculous.
