Azalea x Obey Fall Launch Party

Last night Cam & I stopped at Azalea Boutique to see the Obey Fall Collection. Which I never really got to see since it wasn't showcased very well. I RSVP'd but for some reason they didn't get it. Oh wells. It didn't really matter anyway. It was our first time in there even though Dan (old Acxiom co-worker/husband of Tobi/Azalea owner) told me about it years ago. I just never had a reason to head out to that area. We walked right in and my eyes were immediately drawn towards the bright jewelry filled glass cases. Rows and rows of hand crafted/local made jewelry. I was in love.

Low Luv by Erin Wasson (supermodel) is now my new obsession. These medieval knuckle rings made you want to run around with swords and slay dragons. Yes, I went there.
It was pretty crowded and they ran out of the free shirts they were giving away. Well, they had shirts left but only size large and what am I gonna do with a large shirt anyways? Like most launch parties, you can always expect an open bar.

They offered complimentary cocktails by Vitamin Water x Blue Angel Vodka

New Glaceau Low Cal Vitamin Water 10Blue Angel Vodka
We both had the lemonade x vodka.

The customer service at Azalea was horrible. If I weren't on a mission to buy beauty products from their Z beauty bar, I would of just left and found the stuff online somewhere. The sign says ask for samples. I wanted a damn sample. I've never tried their products so I didn't want to buy something that might potentially jack my face up. BUT I bought it anyways because it had the Allure seal of approval. (You know a herd of girls were used as test dummies to try this product.) I've really been into facial products and anti-aging creams. I bought:

MALIN + GOETZ

Detox Face Mask

MGDETOXFACEMASK
Sharps
Happy Me Pit Guard
So back to the horrible customer service. When I asked one of the hard to find workers, (Yes they all looked the same, all hipster'ed out so I had no idea who was a worker and who was a customer.) I asked him if he could get me a sample of the product. He tells me, we're busy. They had a lot of people but they weren't busy. There weren't that many people actually buying items. More people just standing around waiting for free drinks. So when I asked if he could point me to someone less busy he grabs the facial bottle and puts it on his hand and goes, that's what it'll look like. WTF? REALLY? Are you kidding me? I put the stuff back and went to walk around. Cam & I made our way to the mens beauty products where we found the Sharps deodorant and the ONE helpful worker walked up and started telling us about the product. SEE, that's all that I was looking for. Someone to tell me about the product. She even managed to find me the sample that I was looking for and she was so informative about it that I bought the bottle. That's what I call a great employee. Goes above and beyond. It wasn't that hard to take 2 mins out to talk and that was a $50 sale that they would of lost without her. I totally understand that Oh, one $50 sale is nothing because some of our products are so expensive it won't really matter. But in reality, you want that customer that's willing to spend $, and that will probably love those products and will keep coming back. Not that one time $200 sale. Oh well, I'm glad Cam got to experience his first clothing launch party. It wasn't too exciting but it's a first.
